What is Cognautic Desk?
Cognautic Desk is a native Mac app and iPhone companion for reviewing supported AI coding work. It connects to your configured gateways to show questions, session observations, and driver status. Available actions depend on the source and its current verified state.
Does Desk replace Claude or Codex?
No. Your coding tools and their accounts remain separate. Desk brings supported observations and questions into view; it does not include model subscriptions or replace the tools that run your work.
Can I reply to every session?
No. The Mac preview supports reviewed questions, but conversation input is not available there. On iPhone, supported actions depend on the source, host permissions, and current verified target. A detected process is an observation, not permission to control a conversation.
Does closing the Mac app stop the gateway?
No. The gateway owns its running work. Closing the desktop window does not pause it. Use the gateway’s available controls and check the resulting status when you need to change what it is doing.
Does Desk run continuously or switch accounts automatically?
Continuous work and automatic account switching are not available in this preview. There is no included model usage or automatic API backup budget. Those capabilities are not part of this early-access offer.
What happens when a source is stale or unavailable?
The app can show source coverage and freshness warnings. An incomplete list is not a claim that nothing is running. Available information and actions depend on what the connected host can currently verify.
